One of my favorite childhood memories is watching the film "A Christmas Story"...I've more than likely mentioned it on this blog before...Well here is the book the film is based upon. I'm reading it at the moment. Select stories from this book were adapted for the films screenplay - also penned by Jean Shepherd. I'm really enjoying it...Shepherd is a super writer..full of wit, charm and childish wisdom..
